Scene stealer
The latest addition to the Four Seasons chain – Four Seasons Mumbai – is set to challenge the JW Marriott Juhu as the new hub of the city’s glamorous social scene. The hotel, in Mumbai’s emerging Worli district, offers views of the nearby Mahalaxmi racecourse, the Arabian Sea, and, of course, the city’s skyline.
Italian restaurant Prato overlooks the hotel’s lawns and features à la carte and vegetarian menus. Eight spa treatment rooms include a steam room, whirlpools and ice fountains, while the health club features a resident yoga guru.

DUBAI
New horizons
The Samaya (“my horizon”) chain has opened its first hotel in Dubai’s Deira business district, overlooking the Dubai Creek. The five-star Samaya Hotel Deira is 7km from Dubai International Airport and contains 213 guest rooms and suites. The royal and executive suites are on the top (16th) floor, with the rooftop pool above. The Darya restaurant offers Persian cuisine, and there’s a fitness centre with all the expected accoutrements.
