Ilias Lalaounis

Jeweller Lalaounis is important for the way he turns Greek heritage into unique modern designs. Look out for his Christmas gold pendant – he does a different one every year. Panepistimiou 6, Syntagma, +30 210 362 2731, www.lalaounis.gr

Orsalia Parthenis

Her father was in the fashion business 40 years ago – on Mykonos, everyone wore Parthenis. Her designs are all cotton, very simple, just using black, white and beige. Dimokritou 20, Kolonaki, +30 210 363 3158, www.orsalia-parthenis.gr

Vassilis Zoulias

He’s a Greek designer, who was a stylist for Vogue magazine. Then, about five years ago, he opened this shop selling his own shoe designs. Kanari 17, Kolonaki, +30 210 361 4762

The Mastiha Shop

They sell products such as liqueur, chewing gum, toothpaste and puddings made out of mastic resin from the island of Chios. Try the tangerine juice, blended with ice. They are very sincere about what they sell and the packaging is suitable for travellers. Panepistimiou Street/ Kriezotou Street, Syntagma, +30 210 363 2750, www.mastihashop.com
